| Yunginger Family Tree Recognize the people in the photo on the right? That's John (holding Dorothy) and Dorothy (holding Emma) Yunginger with Catherine standing in the background. This photo was taken around 1862. The Internet has opened up all sorts of possibilities when it comes to trying to locate information on ancestors and relatives. I have had Email correspondence from a gentleman named Chris Yunginger who lives in Chile. It turns out that the village of El Frutillare was officially founded in November 1856 after 47 German families arrived by disposition of then president of the Chilean Republic, Mr. Manual Montt. Interestingly, a hotel named Cabanas Piscis is located at address "STGO Yunginger 95." I have located Yungingers in Iowa and South Dakota and continue to update the family tree. I would appreciate any information readers might have about any members of the Yunginger Family Tree. Feel free to send me an Email with the details and I will update the tree accordingly. The current version of the tree is available in Adobe PDF format and can be searched and viewed by clicking on the following link: The Yunginger Family Tree PDF [1.6 MB]
